Our Voigtländer Ultron 35 mm / 2.0 aspherical is available in two design variants, Type I and Type II. While the Type I version has a very classic look with a filigree focusing lever, the Type II is somewhat simpler and offers a focusing recess that is somewhat more intuitive to use.
Eight lens elements in five groups have been installed in the all-metal housing and, together with the ten aperture blades, ensure outstanding imaging performance from a close-up distance of 58 cm. The weight is a pleasant 170 g (type I) or 210 g (type II).
Two optional lens hoods are available, LH-4N in a circular shape and LH-12 in a rectangular design, which enables slightly higher stray light shielding due to the construction depth.
The versatile VM mount can be easily adapted to other common lens mounts, e.g. via Voigtländer close focus VM mount adapters on Sony E, Fuji FX mount and Nikon Z mount cameras.
