Tradition meets modernity
The name NOKTON has been synonymous with Voigtländer lenses with large apertures since the 1950s – back then designed for taking pictures in low light conditions. Today, the focus is on the creative use of bokeh and limited depth of field. With a maximum aperture of F1.5, the NOKTON 28 mm F1.5 aspherical enables impressive blur effects and precise cropping of the subject.
Optimized for Sony E-mount
The NOKTON 28 mm F1.5 aspherical was developed exclusively for Sony E-mount cameras and adapted to full-frame image sensors. Thanks to electronic contacts, it offers advanced functions such as vignetting correction directly via the camera. In addition, lens data is recorded in the Exif information, which makes post-processing easier.
The built-in rangefinder works with cameras that have 5-axis image stabilization and provides precise distance information to support stabilization. In addition, turning the focus ring activates viewfinder magnification for convenient manual focusing.

Highlights
- Lens optimized for full-frame Sony E-mount sensors
- Electronic contacts for communication between lens and camera
- High-quality and durable metal lens housing
- 12 aperture blades for beautiful bokeh in out-of-focus areas
- Minimum focusing distance 0.28 m
- Aperture ring with switching mechanism for click-free operation when shooting video
Compact design, impressive performance
The optical construction comprises ten lens elements in eight groups and, despite the large aperture of F1.5, achieves a compact design with a length of just 55 mm. The aspherical lenses ensure outstanding sharpness and resolution – even at open aperture. The minimum focusing distance is 0.28 m and allows a wide range of applications from close-ups to landscape and architectural photography.
Manual focusing for maximum control
The NOKTON 28 mm F1.5 aspherical relies on manual focusing, supported by a precise metal focus ring with a non-slip diamond structure. The focus mechanism is stable enough for use with professional focusing aids, for example for video recordings. The aperture ring on the lens allows intuitive control, optionally also with click-free operation – ideal for filming.
For creative expression
The combination of the large F1.5 aperture and the wide-angle focal length makes the NOKTON 28 mm F1.5 aspherical a versatile tool for photographers and videographers. The almost circular aperture with 12 blades creates a pleasant bokeh that transforms points of light into soft, harmonious shapes.
The lens is supplied with a high-quality metal lens hood, which provides reliable protection and is easy to attach.
With the NOKTON 28 mm F1.5 aspherical, Voigtländer presents a lens that extends the versatility of modern Sony E-mount cameras. It combines classic manual operation with modern technology and enables both ambitious amateur photographers and professionals to achieve impressive image results.
